So when To Go for a masai mara safari holiday?
The mara is popular mainly during the migration season but should you
find yourself there when there isn't the great wildebeest
migration
happening do not despair because you will seldom if ever be
disappointed. This place is full of animals throughout the year and
it's safe to say not everything migrates.
It's important to remember that the Mara River is a permanent water
source for the area's animals and so even when the very last wildebeest
has tardily set off for the southern Serengeti, massive resident herds
of buffalo, elephants even Zebra. Then there is the big five not to be
missed and the hyenas, wild dogs to mention but a few.
